With everyone having seriously lost interest in a couple of the BBCs tips for 2010, I have 5 HOT TIPS for 2011, lets see how many until then prove themselves.
Morning Parade:
Having already mentioned them a few times on here I don't really need a introduction for them. If you are new to this then here is something to mull over. They are getting played very frequently due to having 3 MASSIVE tracks out there!
Also one track also stands out when playing live, Headlights, if they do record this this can easily be a hit, not me being optimistic but to be honest being more realistic, this hurts that people don't know them better!
Morning Parade - Youth
Things I Never Told You:
With having just came off a tour with Kele (from Bloc Party) this 3 piece band has created quite a stir, their catchy songs have transformed them from 'some support act' into something bigger! Loads of people now love what they heard and want more. Click HERE for a live review that gives you all the reasons why you have to listen to them and see them live!
The bass is hypnotising, you can feel it when you whack your speakers up rippling through your body, the vocals are sung from the heart as you can tell he cares about his music. I have liked everything I have heard from them and can't wait for more stuff.
Things I Never Told You - Life Without (Demo)
Them:Youth
What do you get when you cross Delphic with Pendulum? This fantastic track called 'Fever Rising' by up and coming band Them:Youth. This London 4 piece is definitely going for big anthem tunes, as you can tell from this track!Their songs have a melancholic edge, combined with an electro beat, and has some funky synths that sound like something a well known dance act should be doing, that somehow makes their songs sound more exciting every time you give it a listen.
Them:Youth finally announced October 2010 as the release date for their highly anticipated (possibly epic) debut album! SO that can easily launch them into 2011 with a big following, as it has proven with White Lies, La Roux, Delphic and Ellie Goulding!
Them:Youth - Halo
We Are Tokyo
With some pretty awesome free single downloads these guys have been apparently getting the eye of a few labels. And why not! the Bright Lights EP was awesome, The Best In Me single even better then came Bullets, with what it was following it was hard for the (then 4 piece band) to give the fans something better... they did it.
Bullets with its catchy hooks and electronic guitar filled chorus just makes it one of those awesome indie tracks!
We Are Tokyo - Colour Blind
Fenech-Soler
Despite them being tipped for 2010 success they haven't really done much except play shows to increase their profile. If you want to just get told what it sounds like, try Digitalism - Pogo but with a but more heart put into it, and recorded in their bedroom.
Thier latest offerings, Stop And Stare and Lies are also just as brilliant but the point of this blog is not to find the obvious bangers but to find the ones people are not aware of. Recently appraring on the latest Kitsune album you know you will hear from them one more time.
Fenech-Soler - Fashion
I HOPE YOU ENJOY THESE BANDS, AND YOU KNOW WHERE YOU HEARD THEM FIRST! CHECK BACK EVERY DAY FOR MORE UNSIGNED BANDS, UNDER THE RADAR INDIE AND THE NEXT BEST THING!
Remember...
IT'S ALL INDIE!
