NEWS: Wild Beasts - 'Smother' Album Details

Wild Beasts will release their third album on May 9.Called 'Smother', the album was penned in six weeks in east London last year and recorded over a month in Snowdonia, Wales with longterm co-producer Richard Formby.

They have already said that inspiration for the new album comes from Frankenstein, so expect some darker lyrics and more stunning vocals. Apparently earlier in the year, co-frontman Tom Fleming said the album has seen the band "spread our wings". He added that "The songs are more concise and direct than they've ever been, I think we've done that stuff better than ever before. The record will be the follow-up to 2009's 'Two Dancers'.

The tracklisting for 'Smother' is:
'Lion's Share'
'Bed Of Nails'
'Deeper'
'Loop The Loop'
'Plaything'
'Invisible'
'Albatross'
'Reach A Bit Further'
'Burning'
'End Come Too Soon'

They are planned to be playing a few live shows in the run up to the album, so expect a few new songs to appear when playing live.
