Single Review... The Palpitations - Milk

On the same label as Islington Boys Club they too are causing quite a stir on the Indie scene in London. With a limited run of this single being run at 250 copies I strongly suggest you pick one up.

Milk It:
With a grinding bass starting the song off you are far from what they sound like, sweet vocals kick in and a riff slowly comes in. The song continues and the drums kick in to provide something to tap your foot to. The chorus is very upbeat and has a brilliant tempo to it. Very fast and urgent, this makes the track and as it continues it builds tempo and finishes in a flourish of heavy riffs with the crunching bass still throbbing its way through.

Out of 10: 8/10

Love Is True (That's Why It Hurts):
With this single being released on Valentines day they provide a love song. Ok maybe not the one you imagine but they still manage to perform a brilliant song that is similar of Blood Red Shoes, the drums and guitar work in tandem with each other to deliver a shouty rock track anthem that wouldn't look out of place at Reading or Glasto.
