Single Review... Bombay Bicycle Club - Shuffle

So Bombay Bicycle Club are back! Last year they took some time out to release their acoustic album and tour the album too. Jack Steadman told me once that "we have put some acoustic songs out as B-Sides, so it's nice to tour an album with just the acoustic set-up" It was a big difference to their début album but a nice alternative genre of music for the fans to listen to. Also in 2010 they released a song for the Twilight Soundtrack, this was deemed by the fans as selling out but then again it did provide a glimpse of what album three would be about...

Shuffle:
I love the jumpy piano at the beginning, it adds such a nice feel to the song. The boppy nature of the song did get on my nerves a bit, but then Jack's vocals come in and calms me down, then at the 25second mark it becomes so much more. More layers, more noise, more funky grooves in the background, oh yes BBC, you have hit the nail on the head! The track calms down, for a bit but then the piano bops find a way back in, and it develops into such a tune, this can easily be one of my favourite tracks of the year, and that is something! If this song represents the album, then we are in for a treat when it comes out, infact, I am going to by it on limited vinyl!!!
