Single Review... Arctic Monkeys - The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala

'The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala' is the second single to be taken from Arctic Monkeys’ new album 'Suck It And See'. Includes an exclusive B-side – ‘Little Illusion Machine (Wirral Riddler)’ - featuring Miles Kane And The Death Ramps. This was initially limited to 2000 copies, but due to the PIAS warehouse fire the vinyl versions of the single will be delayed.

Not the most 'single' sounding track off the album, however the catchy riffs that make this a song just about gets away with being a single. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's even one of their strongest songs but with catchy hooks and riffs and that oh so sweet festival friendly chorus sing-a-long "shalalala". Not exactly a song to shout out in the crowd as it's a bit of a mouthful but it wouldn't surpirse me if this stays in their set-list for a long time!
