Friday's Finest - 24th February 2012

A new section of our little world has been created. Each week It's All Indie will go head to head with Slate The Disco and we will be letting you in on what tracks we've been playing on repeat! This will be posted every Friday! Here is the first instalment!

Metronomy - The Bay (Clock Opera Remix): (Chosen by Jordan @ Slate The Disco)
We’re all about Cambridge and when we heard these guys are heading to Cambridge in April (April 21st at the Portland Arms to be precise) we got way too excited. One of the finest releases of last year ‘The English Riviera’ Metronomy’s début album will have full remix album out next month and it will include this gem from Clock Opera

Arcade Fire - We Use To Wait: (Chosen by Fred @ It's All Indie)
It's hard to listen to everything at the same time, that's why this band came into my life quite late on, especially who they are. I've been loving 'We Use To Wait' over the past week and can't begin to tell you how happy it makes me feel listening to something so powerful and yet so tender to the ears.

2:54 - You’re Early: (Chosen by Jordan @ Slate The Disco)
2:54’s first new material this year and ‘You’re Early’ is a tightly coiled spring of primal energy, hypnotic melody and hushed obsession. Watch out for them on their début headline tour in April.

Blood Red Shoes - Sulphites: (Chosen by Fred @ It's All Indie)
With their new album on the horizon and a UK tour I had to re-visit this band, with 19 B-Sides this is the pick of the bunch. The song was intentionally recorded as an instrumental and I wouldn't want it any other way, something to really get into in the late evenings and really something to put on repeat while you wait for their new album!

Gorillaz - DoYaThing (Feat. Andre 3000 and James Murphy): (Joint pick)

Check in every Friday for 5 tracks to sink your teeth into!
