There is not much to say about this British
electronic duo because there simply is not much information. They can only be
judged by no more than one released single “Tel Aviv”, but once heard you won’t
forget them for a long while.
The song begins with a catchy electro beat
reminding a bit of French synthpop group Pony Pony Run Run only to develop some
vocals with quite a resemblance to Neil Tennant. Adding a little pop in the
chorus and a lot of indie throughout the whole 80s-atmosphere and here it is:
one of the most promising debuts of the fading summer. So are we witnessing the
rise of the Pet Shop Boys 2.0? Maybe, but first we want to hear more. On their
twitter-account they announced new material to be released this week. We are
very excited to see what comes after this impressive first glimpse of April Towers.
