"Is the guitar even tuned?" was the first question I asked myself when I was listening to the first 8 seconds of Totem's "See-Saw Girl" But then I realised this was the beginning of a wonderful and also very weird upbeat song.
The vocals on this pop-post-punk song remind me of some African tribe chanting and this really grabs the listeners attention. I would also like to point out how the instruments feel, work and play with each other, like they've known themselves for eternity. The whole song reminds me of Here We Go Magic's song "Collector" since it's so cheerful and just makes me close my eyes and forces me to dance my feet off like nobody is watching.
Totem will have their debut single released on 9" vinyl on the 23th of September.
