She is the daughter
of German rock icon Marius Müller-Westernhagen, however, even in Germany virtually
no one has heard of this amazing artist. Mimi, born Sarah Müller-Westernhagen, was
born in 1985 and grew up in Twickenham.

She made her first real musical
appearance on the soundtrack of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. For some this might
remain as a stigma forever, but not for her. “Don’t You Mourn the Sun” is with
its catchy rock riffs far from being a fleeting star. Her début album “Road to
Last Night” tops this phenomenon even more. Her voice makes every song so unique
and touches with strength and vulnerability at the same time. Some of the
highlights are definitely “Once Again”, “Blood” or “Destroy” but absolutely every
track of this brilliant album is worth having a closer hearing.
Now she
announced her new album “Nothing But Everything” to be out in February next
year. To show us what to expect, she released the EP “Get Me Back” with three brand-new
songs and you can tell right from the first chord that she matured a lot. In
this case there is nothing wrong with that, no, her sound is even more defined
and perfected than in her previous album. We get an amazing combination of indie
atmosphere with rock’n’roll guitars and great vocal arrangements. This girl is definitely
someone to keep an eye on.
By the way,
apart from music she is also highly creative and productive in painting. All of
her covers are designed by her and after having a closer look at her beautiful website
you get an idea of how much paisley just fits in a fox, for instance.
