Alt-J to start recording new album following Gwil's departure

Yes that's right, Alt-J are now going to go into the studio to work on their new album. There's no point crying about a departure from a band, and no other way to get over it by recording the follow up to the Mercury Prize Award winning album than doing that!

A statement earlier today was released regarding the situation:
"Both alt-J and Infectious would like to reassure fans that the band remain excited about the future and are set to return to the studio very soon to begin work on the follow up to 2012’s Barclaycard Mercury Prize winning An Awesome Wave," reads the short statement."
Watch the band play a new song below, this was recorded at Reading Festival last year.
