Before They Were Big - The 1975

It's not taken The 1975 long to build up a massive fan base, get a NUMBER ONE album in the UK and to sell out Brixton Academy THREE nights running, so we've only gone and done a 'Before they were big' post on them haven't we!

We've got properly old tracks, demos, and some old footage of the band, enjoy! Matthew Healy , Ross MacDonald, Adam Hann and George Daniel met at school  and began to play music in 2002. Having previously performed and released material under various guises including Talkhouse, The Slowdown, Bigsleep, and Drive Like I Do, the band eventually settled on the name The 1975.

And we're pleased to share with you a new name the band went around for a while, "Blind Tapes" - This was around late 2010 to early 2011.
