10 Acts We're Excited To See At Reading 2014

We love the Reading Festival, and since we first went there we believe that this is one of the strongest line-ups in recent years! So we've got TEN of the best acts you just have to watch over the three days in late August.

Darlia

The band have had a tremendous start to the year with BBC Radio 1, NME and XFM picking up on them early on. After a tremendous set at Glastonbury where Nathan completely ruined his guitar by smashing it like an axe be sure to expect an explosive set from the trio!

Sivu

Cambridgeshire resident James Page is certainly a favourite of ours, a hard-worker who is reaping the rewards of persistence. With a tour supporting Marika Hackman already sorted he will be wowing the crowd in the Festival Republic tent, with vocals like his you have to see him before he gets massive!

Arctic Monkeys

The Monkeys will be headlining Reading the festival once again, first in 2009 in support of their album "Humbug", but this time round they're even bigger and after playing two massive shows at Finsbury Park you should expect big hits, big quiffs and even bigger sing-a-longs!

The Neighbourhood

Having graced the smaller venues of London and the rest of the UK back in 2012 and in 2013, the Californian band are set to play their first Reading Festival and we can't help but be excited! Their album "I Love You" came out in 2013 and expect to see them play their massive summer anthems "Sweater Weather" and "Female Robbery" in a field near you!

Marika Hackman

Marika is on the same label as The 1975 and Little Comets, but that's where the comparisons to said bands end, her stunning vocals and stage presence have got her adoring fans all over the world and 2014 sees her play her first set at Reading Festival, expect some heart-warming vocals and silky smooth keys!

Wolf Alice

Having achieved a strong fan-base off the back of a folky EP the band then supported Peace in 2012 as they started to take shape, two EP's later and we see them signed to Dirty Hit with an album in the pipeline, with fellow label mates being played in the charts expect some anthematic choruses from Ellie and co!

Don Broco

Having played back in 2012 and 2013 there's no wonder why the boys are back in 2014. Their live shows are well known to be one of the best around and the dance to their song "Priorities" that they do always puts a smile upon the face of anyone in the crowd!

Jungle

A band that around three months ago played behind a wash of lights, with no sight of a band-member have since then gone on to perform LIVE on American television and perform at Glastonbury and a whole host of other festivals. But their set at Reading 2014 we're looking forwards to as we know it'll make the tent move and groove! Watch them perform below and thank me after!

The Wytches

A band that has released material on Luv Luv Luv's sister label Hate Hate Hate, their now on Heavenly Recordings and will be performing tracks from their forthcoming album. Their tight live performances have got them rave reviews from fans and critics. With their Reading festival appearance coming up this'll be a band you have to see early on in the day!

She's played the 'new music' festivals this year, SXSW in Austin, Texas, USA and The Great Escape in Brighton but now is the step-up for the Swedish powerhouse singstress. And expect a cover of a Spice Girls song in the set too, trust me, it's actually one of the best songs of her set!
