On a relatively quiet day at the iAi HQ, an email popped into my inbox from one of my favourite PR companies introducing me to Folly Rae. Like artists such as The 1975, Two Door Cinema Club and Ed Sheeran, Rae has come up through BBC Introducing and gets a lot of love from the likes of Huw Stephens. Her track 'Free Your Mind' was made BBC Radio 1's 'track of the day'.
Now, Folly Rae has just released her new single 'Someone I Don't Know' in the build up to her E.P 'Run For Cover' that is released in March 2015.
'Someone I Don't Know' is nothing short of beautiful. Rae's soft voice is accompanied by a powerful beat and melodic pianos. Listening to it for the first time my head was nodding and I was trying to work out how to make my words give the song the justice it deserves. With lyrics focused on love, "I'm falling, for someone, I don't know", 'Someone I Don't Know' has been released to perfectly fit Valentine's Day.
