Track of the week... Adam French - Silhouettes

"Silhouettes" is the latest in a string of killer anthems by the one and only Adam French, who knew that Congleton is the home-town of the next big thing! It's a very paino heavy track, a far cry from his solo career's origin, just a chap and his guitar, but the dark edge he's got in this track is the ultimate hook. The track builds and builds, with the first minute being comparable to Tom Smith's (Editors) demos.

The second half of the song gets a bit more electronic, once again, a big leap from what we're use to. Adam has certainly refined his sound into something truly unique and the drum beats, backing vocals and industrial sounds do remind me of Bloc Party's second LP. However, as a solo artist he's certainly pushing the boundaries. The well produced track is a breath of fresh air as far as I'm concerned, and a contender for 'Track of the year', easily! With BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, XFM and many of the UK's biggest bloggers behind him, you're bound to be hearing more of him very soon!

His new single will be available worldwide on iTunes on 6th April 2015, and he's also playing a couple of shows in May too (dates below).
