Kytes @ Strøm, Munich, 12th June 2015

There can't be many bands that can boast playing in a sold-out venue having released just one(!) song. Munich band Kytes, however, did just that. Taking to the stage in Munich's Strom for their first gig as Kytes, Michael, Timothy, Kerim, Thomas made sure it became an evening to remember for Munich's indie scene.
Although most of the crowd actually only knew "Inner Cinema", it didn't stop them from dancing and trying to sing along during Kytes' entire set. The band's catchy indie-guitar sounds have somewhat of a Two Door Cinema Club feel to them. This, combined with lead singer Michael Spieler's outstanding vocals and humorous stage presence, made Kytes' debut show a pleasure to watch.
With people of all ages and other Munich bands including Claire in attendance Kytes showed the crowd their appreciation by returning to the stage to play a two-song encore, ending the evening with "Inner Cinema". The crowd left the venue "Strom" with the same smiles they had been carrying throughout the entire set - albeit slightly more exhausted.
