Paper Daisies drops their big new tune, "Take What You Need"

Coming out of Nottingham is Paper Daisies and the trip has recently dropped their big new tune, "Take What You Need". What makes this track even more amazing is that it's the follow-up to their 2020 debut, so to say that they've been keeping their fans waiting may seem like an understatement. Time to get your grunge on with this fantastic slice of 90s nostalgia! The start of the track is incredibly chunky, and in a way almost offers up an apology to their fans by saying 'Here, enjoy this absolute monster of a riff and huge drums'. It's very early 90s grunge and with the vocals coming in shortly after the intro the track sounds somewhat alt-rock and even post-punk with some of the tones heard. The pace of the track is great and in all honestly, it sounds like the band should be touring all over the UK with their sound. It's time to get your grunge on with this fantastic slice of 90s nostalgia, so be sure to check this track out and their debut too!

YDEA reveals their second-ever single, "Lovers Game"

Following on from their strong debut single, "Forest Fire", which was released last year is YDEA with their second-ever single, "Lovers Game". A delicate blend of piano keys and soft vocals hushes it way into your ears from the get-go, and when you factor in some electronic swooshes in the background the track presents itself to you as one that can move you from the first listen. Be prepared to get wowed by YDEA and her vocals, and make sure you stick around as this London-based artist is certainly going places. As soon as the chorus hits YDEA's vocals effectively confirm that you'll be staying around until the end of the tune. The power behind her vocals is fantastic, they're fiery but not too much it's off-putting, and angelic that they can reach the inner workings of your soul. We love being there from the very beginning, and artists that we've discovered before their first major release are George Erza, Bastille and now NOISY. A new band from Manchester is looking to join in with their jangly slice of indie-rock. .... this is a fantastic track to launch their career off with. daisychain's debut single, "Stay", is one of the most upbeat debut singles we've heard this year, and with a distinctively early 2000s indie-rock sound about it there is a great nostalgic tone underlining. Having grown up in the early 2000s with the indie scene this shimmering track is very much like the early Bombay Bicycle Club songs mixed with the energy of The Kooks. Being based out of Manchester hasn't got to the band's head it seems as they've kept this rather organic and grounded, but this is a fantastic track to launch their career off with. Snap Infraction share their nostalgic new single, "Touch The Sun"

Back with this third release of the year is Snap Infraction with their new single, "Touch The Sun". The latest offering from the Philadelphia-based trio is more leaning towards the acoustic side of things, possibly even dabbling into the realms of The Beatles' later work too. A wonderful stroll down memory lane with "Touch The Sun". The nostalgic cut is laced with acoustically-driven guitars backed up with a basslike that'll be sure to keep you all warm and cosy on a winter's night. Vocally I felt like I was taken back to the 1970s, more to the point around the time of when The Beatles were coming to an end. It's very power-pop meets early new-wave with the vocal approach, but when it comes to the instrumentation here it's nothing short of crisp and sleek.
