Brighton four-piece Fond Of Rudy have returned with a sultry number ‘LOVE’, following their last single release ‘OMG’. Keeping their 80’s pop influences close at bay with their taste of blissful, minimalistic synth/vocal work with touching lyrical work. Spinning modern influences of Blood Orange and The 1975 into their own distinctive and lavish sound (they call ‘South Eastern Calypso Alt Pop’) ‘L O V E’ stands in its own lane from past material.
The fluorescent glare of their past singles has been dimmed and replaced with the sultry flicker of candlelight. A guitar solo reveals itself towards the later half of the track leaving an impressionable end. Fond Of Rudy have a number of shows scattered around venues and festivals scattered around the UK in July.
