Alternative act Comfort reveal self-titled debut 'Comfort' [IAI Premiere]

Brighton certainly never lacks talent and if there is any name we should turn to, Comfort are one to admire. A new name to ears but the three piece's friendship tells of a different story. The band's history is rich, dating back to the three being childhood friends. Comprised of members; Brendan Lyle, Jake Brown and James Redfern, the alternative group strive for making music that holds familiarity yet feels distant to their listeners.

Now releasing music after years of bonding, ‘Comfort’ is the first single from their upcoming debut EP. A dreamy track that swims under a bed of lush synth swells and floating vocal. Its obvious to tell Comfort are inspired by indie bands of their childhood years but still lies a wondrous modern vibe to it, revealing a lavish and intricate delivery of alternative sounds.

The band explain more on the single “This song is a way to let go of pain, to release something into the wild and cast all negative energy aside, whilst also hopefully affecting people in a profound and exciting way. The song was written as a plea, but now it stands for something more and has transcended the energy of when it was written.”
