Andrea Di Giovanni 'It's All Dark/Pop' Playlist Takeover

We have the pleasure to host a playlist from Andrea Di Giovanni, an independent artist of the moment. We thought it was about time we shared this perfect collection of tracks while his wonderous single 'Shame Resurrection' is new to our ears.

The track begins with an epic production that set the tone perfectly for an intense composition like ‘Shame Resurrection’ while the chorus breaks into a pop explosion. A total win for a song that seems to be Andrea’s best work to date.

1. Shame Resurrection - Andrea Di Giovanni /  I love this track because in my opinion it really embodies what dark/pop is all about, drama, deep lyrics and a snappy up/tempo chorus.

2. Palo Santo - Years & Years / My favourite track from their latest album; from the lyrics to the atmospheres created by the piano and Olly's vocal samples...dark/pop gold.

3. Peroxide Heart - Sylvie / Sylvie is not only a great friend of mine but also an incredibly talented songwriter. From the first lines of the song ('Is my blood bleached or is it cold like me') you're hooked in; production is slick and the chorus will be stuck into your head for the upcoming weeks. You're welcome!

4. Animal - Indigo Face / A song that will bring you in the deepest and darkest corners of your soul. My friends Indigo Face are such an interesting quirky band with a strong defined sound, I love them.

5. Mine - Ina Wroldsen / When I've discovered Ina Wroldsen as an artist, I was in complete awe. Her last EP 'Hex' is pop gold and in my opinion this one is the best track...her haunting yet delicate vocals will give you life.

6. Solo - July Jones / An empowering dark/pop gem, all about going through tough times and being able to rise above them. 10/10 bop.

7. Enemies - Lauv / Fell in love with Lauv after hearing 'Chasing Fire' but when he delivered this track, I was shook. Obsessed with the chorus melody line, so iconic.

8. Saving Grace - Grace Carter / I saw Grace performing this track live back in April at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town and I was in total awe. Production on point, great lyrics and her tone... divine.

9. Wild Romance - Andrea Di Giovanni / It's the song I love the most out of what I've written so far both lyrically and production wise. I really like the contrast between the verse and the chorus and the way the production enhances the lyrical content.

10. Deserve - Christina Aguilera / I'm not a huge fan of her last Album but this bop cowritten by MNEK & Julia Micheals really got me excited. It's probably one of the best ballads written in 2018.
