LEISURE unveils slick new single, ‘Falling’

Critically acclaimed New Zealand band LEISURE have delivered their silky new single ‘Falling’, a jazz-inspired production filled with rich downtempo tones.

Blessed with slow and seductive elements, ‘Falling’ flaunts a deep and brooding bassline and serves as an understated effort laced with a commanding vocal presence that swells and fills the production.

"Falling is about those first moments when you realise it might be more than just a fling,” added LEISURE. “That exciting but scary feeling when something clicks… And you helplessly see the first signs of love speeding towards you whether you're ready for it or not.”

Verging between soft R&B, and a fusion between both soul and jazz, LEISURE’s latest serving follows the recent Laurence Guy remix of the band’s previous single, ‘Feeling Free’.

LEISURE first gained attention in 2015 with their debut single ‘Got It Bad’, which went viral on release. The smooth serving has now surpassed 12 million Spotify streams to date and was a strong introduction to their self-titled debut album, LEISURE. Released in 2016, the album peaked at #2 in the NZ charts, amassed over 50 million streams and received critical acclaim. The band soon skyrocketed on account of their psychedelic, blissed out homage to laid-back pleasure and millions started to embrace the LEISURE ethos.

Currently performing a series of shows across their native New Zealand, LEISURE’s new single ‘Falling’ is a taste of what’s to come from their highly-anticipated second album, due for release in 2019.
