Ed Sheeran's protégé Ryan McMullan releases bittersweet pop ballad

After his successful hit “Bowie on the Radio” (almost 8 million streams), Ed Sheeran’s protégé, Ryan McMullan, has released his new bittersweet pop ballad “In The Back of My Mind”. With his signature vocals combined with a classic blend of guitar, piano, strings and percussion, McMullan created an emotional ballad about a breakup we can all relate to. He adds: “Songs like this have the power to express what we’re feeling at a certain time of your ife. It’s a little snapshot into mine…”

The Portaferry songwriter just returned from supporting fellow Northern Irish rock band, Snow Patrol, on their US tour. Ryan’s playing several festivals in the UK this summer, including the prestigious Glastonbury Festival in the end of June, where he will eventually tease songs from his forthcoming debut album. His album is rumoured to feature song-writing of his talented mentors Foy Vance and Ed Sheeran.
