[TRACK OF THE WEEK] Sarpa Salpa - Before It Goes Dark

It's not often a band releases enough great tracks to get three 'Track of the week' features, but that's exactly what Sarpa Salpa have done. The latest track from the Northampton based alt-pop track is yet another that draws some divine inspiration from some bands they admire, such as Foals, Tame Impala and Friendly Fires.

With BBC Introducing already eyeing the band up and performing up and down the UK, it sounds like with "Before It Goes Dark" the band are a sure bet for a big end to the year. "Before It Goes Dark",  tackles the frustration of not being able to stop the inevitable, and is one of the bands darker tracks to date. But with that in mind the track still provides some driving guitar and basslines, but this time round with more of an 80's vibe with the synths being given a more prominent role.

The track is pure Sarpa Salpa, angular, dark and yet somewhat upbeat, they're onto big things! And with that head on down below to check it out.
