It's All Indie

Gravity Circus - Radiotool

Gravity Circus

Gravity Circus are one of those bands that love to dabble in experimentalism in their music, and the outfit have recently released a brilliant new track called "Radiotool". Here the band use their influences to a brilliant degree, with them effectively covering Radiohead "15 Step", TOOL "The Grudge", Billie Eilish "you should see me in a crown" and Queens of the Stone Age "My God Is The Sun" all in one track, which is a throwback (in a way) to their Glass Animals mash-up they made a few years back.

In true Gravity Circus tradition they've made it their own once again with some more experimental electronic effects, amazing vocals and some math-rock style drum beats which switches it up every now and then. The Dutch based band are one of those unique finds on the internet, when you find them you get absolutely hooked and delve right into their back catalogue.

Abbie Ozard - Heartbreak Radio

Abbie Ozard - Credit goes to Dawncast

Having only recently discovered this artist thanks to Close Up Promotions, who picked them as this week’s Artist Spotlight, we’ve completely fallen in awe of her reverb driven indie pop. Cheshire-based musician Abbie Ozard is relatively new to the scene having only started releasing music last year and has already been making great headway.

Her debut EP ‘Growing Pains’ was released at the end of September and she has her debut London headline show at Thousand Island this Sunday (October 20). On the EP, she said: “I like to think of this EP as a reflection on how my life has been the past few years, there’s been a lot of changes and writing it has helped me through them.

“I like to think of it as a little insight into what goes on in my brain so it means a lot to me. I hope people can listen to growing pains and relate to the experiences in it so they can hopefully feel less isolated, growing can be an isolating process!” Listen to the infectiously catchy single ‘Heartbreak Radio’ and simply fall in love with her dynamic and versatile pop tunes.

Luna Bay - All In

LUNA BAY - ALL IN

Luna Bay are on a meteoric rise and you need to be on this wild adventure with them. Their brand spankin’ new release ‘All In’ features vocals from Vera Kebbe and is very arguably their biggest anthem to date, featuring a belting sing-along chorus made for big venues and festivals, the song just has an overwhelming vibe of optimism and I can’t get enough of it.

The band head out on their first UK wide headline tour, with their hometown show at Scala very close to selling out, tickets can be found here.

Tiny Deaths - Always (Big Cats Remix)

Tiny Deaths - Always

Tiny Deaths are an indie-pop duo who have recently released their latest EP Magic - The Remixes via Handwritten Records.

Whilst I am are not as familiar with the duo as I perhaps should be, it takes a short amount of time to see just what the buzz is about. With vocals that remain a constant standout, it is simply a genius idea to lay these over remixes to see what can be added in a different audio environment.

For myself, "Always" is the standout track and is laced with a beautiful level of distortion and effects. The beat itself isn't overpowering, nor does it aim to take away anything from an already astonishing vocal. Be sure to check the duo out.
