Back in 2019 we absolutely loved RoiseMay's track, "Forgiveness", and now the singer-songwriter is back with a bold new offering - "Lovesick".
Once again her big vocals are very prominent, but this time round it's laced with trumpets and a very ska sort of drum beat in the opening first minute. It's a brilliant turn of events from her previous work and you can clearly see why this track was picked up by BBC Radio Essex the day after release - the track was rather brilliantly released on Valentines day 2020.
The vibe of this song is ska heavy as I previously mentioned but with extra sass and a sexy vibe underlying it, especially with the lyrics - "With you I don't need to hide away" / "Press up against my skin, I need you more than anything" - suggesting this is a song more about lusting over someone than feeling like they're missing from their life.
The track is an absolute belter showcasing what RosieMay is all about, relateable lyrics and stunning vocals mixed in with a few genres that really gives it a distinct flavour.
