Derek Corr shares lead track from his debut album "This Now"

Coming out of Kenmare in County Kerry, Ireland, Derek Corr has shared the lead single from his debut solo album, "This Now", titled "If I Was The Devil".

Having been a musician from a young age and forming his first band at the tender age of 16 he's been in many acts since such as the band Blancatransfer, which went on to get their single "Electric Light" in the Ireland iTunes Top 10.

Derek has a strong love for music, but as well as philosophy and Buddhist meditation - which is clear to hear in the opening bars of the song, with the atmospheric and ambient backing that his vocals sing over.  The track has a few genres mixed into it, from Pop/Rock elements that sounds like it's been lifted from Arcade Fire's back catalogue to Ambient and Electro in the opening few seconds.

His vocals are terrific here with Derek being purely honest with his delivery, layered upon each other it also gives the track an uplifting feel.

Derek has had his music played on both national and local radio stations in Ireland and Spain (where he once lived) over the years and the new piece of work he has released is the culmination of years fo hard work, refining his sound and finding himself. So head on below to check out "If I Was The Devil" below and if you love that, you'll love the 8 track album!
