Martini Police have very recently shared their smooth new single, "Seventeen", which is their second release of 2020 following on from their single "Music To Fall In Love To".
The quartet are based out of a town called Stamford in Lincolnshire, UK and have been releasing songs since 2019. The band have been picked up by their local BBC Introducing station and have a small but loyal following on their social channels, ushering a potential hype wave when the live music scene kicks off again.
It sounds like the foursome are really refining their sound, from the earlier songs sounding more like The Strokes they've now turned into a band that you can get lost in their songs with.
Speaking about the new single the band said - " ... "Seventeen" was written from the drummers perspective of young love at the age of 17. At the time he fell in love with a girl who he thought loved him back, unfortunately she had a boyfriend and proceeded to play the pair of them."
"Seventeen" really does sound like the sort of music you can get drunk to and cry with, it's so heart-on-your-sleeve and delicate. Martini Police (no doubt named after the lyric in an Arctic Monkeys song) are certainly on the path to something big, so be sure to follow them where ever you can and expect to hear more quality tunes such as this in the future.
