The Slow Walk project has a superhero-esque origin story - a while ago a group of youths on Tufnell Park Road spotted him. After trying to get our his attention by calling him the geeky one with the glasses and the phone, they changed their tactics and instead shouted "Yo, daddy cool…Slow Walk!" The following day he laughed about the incident with his musical sidekick Bean and Slow Walk was born.

Influenced by a wide variety of witty and observational songwriters such as Ray Davies, Morrissey, Jarvis Cocker and Rivers Cuomo - of which you can hear some of those influences in the new single.
This new tune opens up with some warm guitars, hand-claps and a vibrant bassline. "When Your Love Goes Away" has a strong Jamie T feel mixed in with some Brit-Pop influence from the likes of Pulp - especially with the soft and heartwarming vocals.

Since he played his first gig in an open mic tent in Glastonbury, Slow Walk has played all around the city with an acoustic, a loop pedal and sometimes a band if the venue is a bit bigger. A triumph of his too was getting his song in a British feature film called 'My Brother The Devil'.
