We've been following Ask Carol since their 2019 release "Smiling All Day Long" but since then things have got a lot better for the duo from Norway's capital city
Their latest track sounds like the perfect blend of a trio of acts we adore, Blood Red Shoes, PVRIS and even elements of The Hives with the scuzzy guitar tones.
The Oslo twosome earlier on this year had a meeting with a massive Los Angeles based management team, due to fly out in April it got put on hold because of 'you know what'. Since they couldn't get out to the sunny Californian city the duo we're stuck at home like most of us were, and this is the fruit of their labour.
The new track "Do It In LA" is everything we love from a rock duo, lots of noise, chanting vocals mixed in with some distortion, crunchy guitars and thick bass laced throughout giving you a thrill from start to finish.
The high octane new single is a major reason the band have got a tonne of fans all over the world. They've performed in Japan, The Philippines, South Korea and their home region of Scandinavia - nut not forgetting the duo hitting up SXSW twice too!
Speaking about the new single the band said - "[The track is a] half satirical comedy about the shallow, plastic fantastic society, half an honest testimony to us dreaming ourselves away to sunny Californ-i-a, and LA. Everyone has an opinion about the celebrity scene, but who hasn't dreamt of being a Hollywood star? A contrast to our often more melancholic music, we needed some feelgood music in our not so cheerful times."
As mentioned before they've got a big fanbase and with their new track being placed in a Spotify playlist of over 300k followers it sounds like it won't be much longer before a wider audience discovers Ask Carol's addictive stylings - if you love this then you're in for a treat as this band keep on getting better with every release!
