Stranded Mermaid is the project of Swedish singer-songwriter/producer Louise Lindenger, and this mighty new offering is the fourth single since she's been back from her hiatus.
"Allies" is a delightfully spacey intro that sounds just damn haunting, and as soon as the bass comes in it really set's the tone of the track. Add in some almost tribal sounding drums and the track already is anthemic, we're just now waiting for the vocals, and when they hit the track is complete.
There's a real drive behind "Allies", especially in the chorus there's a nice layer of melodies with the vocals helping to generate even more depth. This track just shows that there are plenty of acts, all over the world that can wow you from the start of a track, and Stranded Mermaid is one of those acts!
