Cal in Red release sugary new dream-pop cut, "Zebra"

Hailing from Eaton Rapids in Michigan Cal In Red has dropped their exciting new cut, "Zebra", and much like a zebra, it has bursts of energy and a kick to it. The dreamy track is the outfit's fifth-ever single, and considering they've (now) dropped five tunes their stats on Spotify are pretty damn respectable.
What Cal in Red have done here is craft a dreamy pop tune, borderline psych and surf-pop with plenty of elements that'll have you clicking that FOLLOW icon on Spotify in a heartbeat.

With 2.3k monthly unique listeners, the duo has been working hard on their sound since their first track came out in 2019, however, this new offering sounds like they've really found their sound. So what do we have here then, well we've got dreamy guitars in abundance here, with sugary vocals dripping on top of them. If this was a desert it would be a Banoffee Pie, creamy smooth but sweet at the same time, always leaving you wanting more.

We've also got a slight psychedelic tint to the track, however, there does seem to be a slight blend between dream-pop and psych-pop these days, with "Zebra" especially sounding like what Tame Impala would sound like if Kevin Parker had fewer synths and effects going on.

Speaking about the project, the duo mentions "We've been working on "Cal in Red" for a few years now and we finally feel like we've honed in on a sound that's true to us and those that have inspired us. We're thrilled for what's coming." What Cal in Red has done here is craft a dreamy pop tune, borderline psych and surf-pop with plenty of elements that'll have you clicking that FOLLOW icon on Spotify in a heartbeat.
