Rising New York City-based artist Emmrose has today unveiled her vibrant track "Waitlisted", which follows on from the roaring success of "Tonight", "The Grass Was Greener", and "It Takes Me Back" which gained well over 700k streams between them last year!
It sounds like Emmrose is not accepting just 700k plays as the new tune is going to be pushing her out into new territories, and as you'll find out it's arguably her most vibrant single to date!
... you've got one heck of a track to get your funk on with.
Speaking about the tune the NYC artist mentions - "It is an anthem for people who've been waitlisted or rejected for something in life they really want."
Her vocals really do drive the song even further than any other element, and with strong comparisons drawn against Britsh disco-pop queen Sophie Ellis-Bexter it sounds like she's reaching for the viral charts!
So the tune, we've got this far without delving too much into the juicy track's instrumentation. We've got bouncy guitars mixed in with basslines that Nile Rodgers would be proud of. Combine that all with a sugary coating of synths, plenty of quirky electro samples on it and you've got one heck of a track to get your funk on with.
