The Holy Veins drop energetic new version of "Drown", featuring Cassidy

New York-based The Holy Veins have today dropped their energetic new single, "Drown (Remix)" featuring Berlin resident, Cassidy. Yes, you read that right, this is a remix of their previous single "Drown".

The new version is still as sleek as their original but the predecessor is a bit rawer in the instrumentation with some disco-styled auto-tune vocals. Now, what we have with the remix is plenty more electronic nods all over it, with the opening to the song having some haunting whispers of Cassidy's vocals, almost teasing her part in the track to the listener.

It's got so much funk, soul, and sexy guitar hooks that it can seduce you by the end of the first play.

If anything this could be borderline better than the original release, it's incredibly bouncy, sleek and addictive. It's almost as if the track has been lifted from the mid-90s disco scene, think Daft Punk if they remixed an INXS track, it's got so much funk, soul, and sexy guitar hooks that it can seduce you by the end of the first play - as you'll definitely be checking this more than just the once.

This track has already worked its way into our playlist for the summer, so hurry up and head on down to check out The Holy Veins' new (not-so-new) track!
