Recently Lo Rays dropped their second ever tune, "Atom by Atom", which follows on from the well-recieved debut single "Stain". Glasgow is well known for its dark guitar music and it sounds like it's rubbed off perfectly on Lo Rays. With plenty of synths, electronic noises and industrial vibes going on it has a dark edge to it straight from the outset.
Laura (vocalist) projects her vocals onto the track and when she does it's a blend of angry Grimes, the cleanness of CHVRCHES' Lauren, and the urgency Enter Shikari's latest work. With a wide range of genres going on, from dark-pop to metal it sounds like Lo Rays are a band to expect the unexpected with, keep an eye on the final minute - it sums the band up perfectly.
