Xoxo burst out with debut single, "Weekends"

Coming from Brighton and London, Xoxo has now burst out into the world with their bright and airy debut single, "Weekends". From the outset, it sounds like an out-and-out indie-pop gem, with some smooth guitar work, soft vocals, and a swirling synth line in the background helping to give "Weekends" a real shine. I listened to this to a perfect golden hour while in Warsaw and it really helped me get into even more of a good mood.

The track was self-produced, recorded both at home and at Brighton Electric with engineer Ally Jowett, with arrangement and production guidance from Kieron Pepper (Wargasm, The Prodigy, Sleeper).

When the world is filled with bad news and covid there's always going to be a band ready to drop a feel-good anthem, and this time around the band we're loving is Xoxo. With love already coming in from BBC Introducing and a whole plethora of online zines it's a solid start for the fresh as anything band, so be sure to head down to fall in love with Xoxo and "Weekends".
