Coming out of Melbourne in Australia Austen has recently shared her vibrant new single, "The Fire". With over four million plays on Spotify, this is an artist that's far from being underground, however outside of Australia and New Zealand music I'd say it's rather unknown, and you know what that might be what her new cut has, an element of surprise.
"The Fire" has a very Grimes meets Purity Ring sound about it, dreamy and ethereal vocals combined with a bunch of smooth synths and a tight drumline. I'd happily go as far as saying Austen is an artist who has the numbers, has the fans, and certainly has the talent to break out from 'down under' and take over the world with her music, it's simply majestic.
