Cxl Mxck returns with punch new single, "Modern Day Romance"

Cxl Mxck last Friday dropped his latest single, "Modern Day Romance", which follows on from his EP "My, Myself or Die". The Cheshire singer-songwriter has a grungy style to his music, with the guitar taking a dark tone from the very start, however, the track is at its mightiest when the chorus hits. It's like a gut punch in the stomach versus the first ten seconds of the track, a real rush and anthemic vocals from the rising artist.

It most definitely is a dark tune, but Cxl Mxck has easily won us over from the first play. With backing from BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio as well as a plethora of local outlets picking up on his previous releases too. From the sounds of it Cxl Mxck is gearing up for something big.

Speaking about the new single the singer mentions "I wanted to write a punk song with a bit of cheekiness, I’m very open about sex and casual sex really. "Modern Day Romance" really is what it says on the tin, a generation of one night stands and relentless nights."
