London singer-songwriter EMMA SEE has recently released her dreamy new single, "Wasting Youth". The single is her second of the year and right from the get-go is full of atmosphere, think of a blend of Lana Del Rey and The XX.
It opens with a smooth voice speaking in French before giving way to her commanding tones. Backed up with some electronic beats, synth elements and combined with her vocals you end up taking a step back with amazement.
Speaking about the new single Emma mentions - "[The song was] written during the first lockdown, and bred through frustration and isolation, "Wasting Youth" is a blend of electronic and bedroom pop; a melancholic and tentative heart-break song that tells a tale of loneliness and isolation during the global pandemic."
The single's b-side also acts her previous single, and for the new fans out there gives them even more reasons to end up loving this new emerging artist.
