Coral Palms unveils breezy new track, "Promises"

With Coral Palms now well clear of the 1 million play mark on Spotify they've recently dropped a sizzling new single. Titled "Promises" it feels as if it can get some serious plays, and it easily could be down to the charming mixture of high-tone guitars and glitzy drumbeats. "Promises" could easily be their most charming cut to date! If you're a reader of this site you'll be very familiar with this rising quartet, and if you're not then this is a fantastic track to get introduced to them with. Opening up with a single dreamy guitar loop it steadily evolves with charismatic vocals before the harmonies follow. It's once those vocal harmonies come in you know that you'll be in for the long-haul, and when the upbeat drums come in the track takes form, feeling almost like a Ska track in places thanks to the sun-kissed instrumentation and angular guitar. Irish trio Spearside drop psychy new tune, "Not Up To Much"

Irish trio Spearside have returned with their first track since 2022's "Crack In Your Brain", the new offering "Not Up To Much" carries on the fine form that the Trim-based band had from their previous two cuts. Lead by brothers Oisín (vocals/guitar) and Cian Walsh (vocals/bass), along with their friend Dylan Zovich (drums) the sound they've created sounds so much bigger than what you'd expect from a trio. long may they continue creating exciting music such as this! The tune literally bursts into life as soon as you hit play, and what you're welcomed with is a mix of jangly guitars and crunching bass all mixed in with pulsating drums. Vocally it's hazy, borderline surf rather psychadelic but that's their sound and we love it. With love already from BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio 1 the sky is the limit for this Irish trio, and long may they continue creating exciting music such as this!

AMONG THE MASSES shares nostalgic new offering, "Wrong Turn"

Stockholm's AMONG THE MASSES have shared their incredibly dark new offering, "Wrong Turn", which is the four-piece's first track since they dropped "Lovers Lane" back in 2021. The new song sounds like it's been worth the two year wait as it reminds me of peak 80s synth-pop mixed with some darker elements. jam-packed with swirling synths. The vocals here are so brooding, similar to that of Depeche Mode and New Order, but with a sheen that brings it more to life. Instrumentally we've got some space-inspired keyboard tones which sounds like they've been lifted from a Marvel movie with some soaring guitars towards the latter end bookending the track which is jam-packed with swirling synths. Martin Leary shares bold new single, "It's Time"

Glasgow's Martin Leary earlier this month shared his bold new single, "It's Time", and it's the type of track that has a stinking big guitar right at the start, and trust me it'll hook you in like nothing else! the sounds here can fill up the biggest venues it seems! Sitting in at just under four minutes long the aforementioned the track is draped in haze, both vocally and with the ever-dominant guitar hooks washing over proceedings. What is even more impressive that this track is a solo track, it feels like it should be performed by a six-piece as it's so huge, the sounds here can fill up the biggest venues it seems - or reach the farthest edges of a field at the largest festivals in the world. Lewis Knaggs shares tender new single, "My Father"

Lewis Knaggs earlier in March shared his incredibly tender new single, "My Father", and you need to get your tissues as this is a heartbreakingly beautiful song. The song is dedicated to Lewis' father who sadly passed away recently and is one of the strongest songs that Lewis has made to date. Perhaps it's his evolution as an artist or how much he loved his father, but regardless it makes me want to cry in places it's so beautiful.
