Chasing Felix releases dark new cut, "MEXICO"

Irish outfit Chasing Felix this Friday released their impressive dark new cut, "MEXICO". The single announces the return of the Dublin quartet, with it being their first piece of new music since 2017's debut EP "Reorder // Reprocess" which saw them get selected for festivals and gigs all over Ireland and also the UK.

"MEXICO" is a fusion of a handful of genres, and all are there to get your attention. As we kick things off there's a dark and haunting backing vocal behind the wall of guitar and drums - which ultimately gives the listener a chilling sensation.

When the vocals come in the track takes on a new body, almost a blend of Psychadelica and baggy alt-rock found in Manchester back in the early 90s. The sound is very similar to that of The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays in places, and with the introduction of some brass towards the middle of the track your ears get one heck of a treat.

What Chasing Felix have done is give their fans something to really get lost in, as it's been knocking on five years since their first release. "MEXICO" is what the foursome have evolved into and in 2022 this sound will certainly be getting them attention - I can see this going down really well with lots of smoke effects and a light show late on at music festivals.
