Kelley Cole releases her stunning new single, "twenty five"

Based out of Nashville, TN is the sublime Kelley Cole and today she has released her stunning new single, "twenty five".It's rather obvious from the get-go that Kelley's vocals are the main point of focus for new listeners, they're laid upon some tender organic instruments and if I'm being honest that only enhances the feel of the song. ...powerful, emotive and theatrical but with a solid indie-rock vibe underlining it all. Plenty of strings are heard throughout the song, and a fantastic guitar tone is heard before the first chorus hits the track feels elevated and borderline anthemic. The way it evolves before your ears is amazing too, it's like 'ok you like this, you'll love what's next'. Towards the end, it feels more like a song that the likes of Sigrid would write, powerful, emotive and theatrical but with a solid indie-rock vibe underlining it all.

B. Snipes unveils his anthemic new single, "Friend"

If you like the sound of Anthemic tracks that have an underbelly of New Wave and organic instrumentation then you'll love B. Snipes and his upbeat new single, "Friend". Based out of Birmingham, AL the singer-songwriter delved right into our hearts with the intro, and let me tell you that the mixture of The Smiths sounding bass, synths and a danceable drumbeat won us from the intro alone. B. Snipes is one one seriously under-the-radar singer-songwriter! Not taking anything away from the rest of the track but the chorus of the track is the most infectious part of the track, and when you add in charismatic vocal melodies and a high-octane piano it just adds even more to what already is an atmospheric track. The breakdown towards the end is a masterstroke too, and if you get to this point we feel like you'll be heading into their back catalogue for more gems. My Giddy Aunt releases their vibrant new tune, "Bug"

Coming out of Melbourne in Australia is My Giddy Aunt and at the tail end of March saw the outfit release their new tune, "Bug", which follows their 2023 single "Whatever You Want". Speaking about the song they say - " ... the track makes for a cautionary tale about neglect of the environment and the misuse of magnifying glasses. " A vibrant mix of early 90s rock and post-punk revival influences. The trio's sound can be defined as a blend of 90s rock but with more modern twists such as angular guitar tones heard in early Bloc Party, it's bouncy, vibrant and has plenty of bit to it. Vocally it's perfect to sing along to with a voice that can easily soar above the instruments, which just gives it plenty of repeatability- I can easily see this being spun on Triple J for years to come and still sounding as fresh as it is today.

Monsonic reveals the dreamy new tune, "What Holds Your Eye?"

Back with their third single of the year is Monsonic, and just last Friday saw the act reveal their dreamy new tune, "What Holds Your Eye?". The Oklahoma City-based project has released a few singles since their first back in 2018, and just last year saw an album finally get released. ... a hazy blend of psychedelic and dream-pop The new single, "What Holds Your Eye?", opens up with a hazy blend of psychedelic and dream-pop that brings in a lot of music lovers who love soaring shoegaze tones. Vocally it's leaning to the likes of Slowdive and Ride, but what done it for me was the pace of the song. It's not your usual go-to shoegaze or alt-pop song, the beat is very danceable and will certainly be able to get a crowd at a live show moving their feet - especially in the choruses. The fact that I was a lover of this on the first play is a testament to how good of an act Monsonic truly is, so if you like your alt-leaning pop then be sure to give "What Holds

Shai Brides unveils their upbeat new single, "Little Things"

Since their first single dropped in 2019 Shai Brides have been consistently been releasing upbeat slices if indie-pop perfection, and today the band has unveiled their equally upbeat new single, "Little Things". Infectious indie-pop, you'll be bopping along in no time. If you are fans of Fickle Friends, The 1975 and Pale Waves then Shai Brides sounds is the best of all three of those bands, wrapped up in one nostalgic-sounding bow. The energetic start to the song almost got me in as a fan, it's so angular and with the frantic drumbeat I was already tapping along before I knew it. Vocally it's so strong with both female and male vocals on show, and it works so well. Simply upbeat and sublime indie-pop still can't sum this track up, it takes a lot for us to be so engrossed into a track on the first play, but Shai Brides certainly got a new fan in us today!
