College Elite drops their frantic new single, "I Might Fall Apart"

Today see's the release of College Elite's frantic new cut, "I Might Fall Apart", which is the outfit's second release of 2022. This year is already shaping up to be a big one for them after the success of their 2021 EP "The way It Used To Be" got them airtime on BBC Introducing and onto several zine playlists on Spotify.

"I Might Fall Apart" is one of those tracks that sets you on fire, all the while doing 100 miles an hour.

Sitting in at two and a half minutes the song doesn't hang about. As soon as you smash play the nostalgic garage-rock sounding vocals come in, shortly followed by frantic drums that feel like they kick you right in the arse.

Speaking about "I Might Fall Apart", Joshua William said; "I wanted to do a more fast-paced jangly pop style song, going as pop as even Busted. I wrote the song on piano so I could focus first on the lyrics and vocal melodies rather than have in my mind how I was going to play it on guitar. I wanted it to be non-stop for 2 and a half minutes and this is what came out."

As the song carries on you also hear nods to jangly indie-pop, with the hazy vocals and charming guitar hooks suggesting that if College Elite could do a pop cut they're more than capable.

All in all "I Might Fall Apart" is one of those tracks that sets you on fire, all the while doing 100 miles an hour. It's a frantic track that will almost certainly be one of the highlights of their live shows (and thank gosh it's a short one, otherwise I'd lose energy moshing this hard for longer!). so head on down now and sink your teeth into it!
