Hailing from Montpellier in France Deleo today has returned with "Satellite". The new single is their first studio track since 2020's "Going Home" - although they have released a 3-track live EP last year.
It's clear to hear that "Satellite" is the kind of track that smells of my childhood, sitting in the car listening to The Cure and Depeche Mode. The acoustic intro is a lovely touch as it really lures you in before giving way to warm and fuzz-laden guitar tones reminiscent of the best bands of the 1980s. Vocally it's tremendous too, helping the listener feel like they're listening to it in a live setting - it's that commanding.
The dark new single is just a taste of what's to come, as this is lifted off of their upcoming album which is due for release in Autumn 2022 - so if you want to keep up to date be sure to follow them on the socials!
