Essex-based trio Sleep Well Beast has recently dropped their banging new tune, "Out Of Date", and as soon as you hit play you're welcomed to a wall of sound! The Southend-on-Sea band have really nailed the track as right away it's a rampant tune with big guitars, vocals and tremendously huge drums, and after the first minute, I was amazed this was made by a trio.
The grand sound that Sleep Well Beast has created is something that can easily rival fellow rock trio Biffy Clyro, and judging by the new track they're on course to headline Download Festival in the next few years. The track is also backed up with their slightly more chilled-out track "Nothing Was the Same", which shows off that the band can be both loud and mesmerisingly tender.
I made a personal post on Reddit the other day about the lack of b-sides these days, so I'm really glad that this new trio has dropped a banging tune with an equally stunning b-side. I hope there are many more to come!
