Hailing from Birmingham The Pines have recently revealed their brand new single, "Standard Model", which is the trio's first single since 2020's "It's Good To Get Lost".
With some time out from releasing music, bands can go one of two ways, disappear into obscurity because there's a lack of online engagement or when they return they drop an absolute banger - guess what The Pines have done, yes, drop a tune and a half.
For a trio, their sound is huge and has some post-punk nods to the revival bands from the late 2000s from which the trio get their sound. It's chunky, anthemic and full of frantic guitar hooks and drum fills, we just love it!
