London duo Wednesday's Child last week shared their brand new single "I Want You to Want Me", the new tune is their first release since their self-titled debut EP came out in 2021.
Wednesday's Child fuses together a few genres together to make something that sounds very unique. Here on "I Want You to Want Me" you can hear haunting dark-pop vocals mixed in with psychedelic guitar tones and lashes of distortion every now and then.
Vocally it is a gorgeous affair as the voice here reminds me of The Big Moon in places, and they certainly keep us holding out until the very end where the track gains body and turns into something genuinely entrancing.
