Marina Laurendi unveils breathtaking new single. "Upper East Side"

Marina Laurendi has released a string of singles this year which has all blown us away, and now she has unveiled a breathtaking new single. "Upper East Side".

There's lots of dark elements buried away in this track, but it still shines on brightly regardless.

Speaking about the new single she mentions - "This song is an anthem for the Upper East Side and is also my own personal anthem. It's my love letter to NY. I wrote it after moving home during Covid. I was reflecting on missing the city, and feeling detached from my old life, friends, and still freshly heartbroken by the last person I had been with. This song was just so many flashes of memories from four years of my life in the city that I needed to write out of my system."

The new single sounds like something Lana Del Rey would write, as the whole song is surrounded with this grand sound of piano keys, Americana tinted guitar tones and vocal tones that will win any casual fan over. Her vocal range is fantastic, much like the grand canyon as there are low lows and tremendous highs, twisted into that is a beautiful backing track which adds some haunting aesthetic to the release.

There's lots of dark elements buried away in this track, but it still shines on brightly regardless. If you love your atmospheric and dark dream-pop this is for you! Even though it sits in at nearly six minutes long we've found ourselves playing this over again as we can't get enough!
