State Assembly (aka Stephen Youll to his friends) has today dropped his sun-kissed new single, "Here Summer", and what a time to release it! Just as the whole of Europe and the UK is experiencing some amazing sunshine State Assembly has dropped this chunky new offering which went right away into my Summer Roadtrip playlist!
Hailing from the North East of England he's now based in North London (the best part if you ask me) and he's a patron of the legendary Finsbury Pub in N4 (Manor House) - meaning he's seen some top acts come through the doors of the venue.
If you want to compare it against a few other artists you can take the chunky guitars from Foals circa 2014, the expansive and atmospheric tones of Tame Impala mixed with the majesty of London Grammar. One thing is clear for sure is that "Here Summer" is an addictive track, as we found ourselves giving it a spin multiple times before posting the article.
So if you wanna get your funk on with a sun-kissed track then be sure to check out State Assembly's new offering!
