Hailing from one of the friendliest cities in the whole of the UK, Glasgow, NewTown has recently revealed their anthemic debut single, "Sail Away".
... proper anthemic like how Stereophonics and Glasvegas.
As soon as you hit play you're into their world, there's a delightfully bright and shimmering intro with guitar riffs aplenty making you almost fall in love with the track well before vocals come flying in. Yes, the vocals, they're proper anthemic like how Stereophonics and Glasvegas come across.
The BPM in the track is kept high which really helps as you end up bopping your head and stomping your feet, this is certainly the kind of song you'd happily jump up and down to at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut or The Garage.
NewTown seem to be riding on a high from the outset and I can't wait to hear what they get up to next, so be sure to follow them for their climb! The single is self-released on their own label and is out now on Spotify
