Paytron Saint release urgent new tune, "Boats"

Hailing from Belper in the very heart of the UK is Paytron Saint with their urgent sounding new single, "Boats". The new offering is he quartet's first slice of music since 2020's "Wave" and it sounds like they've refined their sound even more since then.

There is no denying that "Boats" is an energetic track, and with the latter half winning me over I'm sure that when you give this a spin it won't be just for the once.

As soon as you hit play you have this urgent guitar line and frantic drums, with ultimately gets your foot stomping form the get-go. Vocally I'm reminded of late 90s grunge acts and that vibe evolves towards the end of the track where the vocals get post-hardcore. In the latter half of the track it smells a bit of Biffy Clyro, especially with the outro being so damn addictive and heavily laden with deep noises.

Speaking about their new single the band says - "Our new single "Boats" explores the difficulties and upsides of being locked-down during the pandemic. Using their favourite metaphor - the sea - the song switches between jaunty, sea-shanty melodies and aggressive rhythms."
