Representing the Bishop Stortford music scene is Hyde Away with their vibrant new single, "Emily". The music scene in Stortford is a weird one, there's basically one venue - however, now it's run by the same people who have turned around The Horn in St. Albans - but the bands who play in and around the town are sensational, and one of them is the fantastic Hyde Away.
The quartet's new offering is their third of 2022 and is a charming track that will round off a fantastic year for the four-some.
Hyde Away's new single, "Emily", is simply charming.
The crackle of vinyl spinning mixed in with soulful vocals and a tender guitar line is a rather charming way to start the track before it kicks right into the chorus, and it's here that you can hear some of their iunfluences coming through with hitns of The Courteeners and Circa Waves.
It's no wonder the band is an award winning act, having taken home an award at The NMG Music Awards in previous years.
They're still a young band, and with tracks like this they're only going to be refining their sound even more, but it sounds like they're on course to be on the same level of charm as The Smiths, The Beatles and The Big Moon.
